Today I would like to introduce you to ``Cat in Boots''.
It's a bit long, so I'll only cover the first part this time.

"Puss in Boots" (Part 1)
Once upon a time, there was a young man.
This man was the youngest of three brothers and lived with his father as a family of four.
This family had no money, so they were hungry every day.
One day my father got sick and died.
Only the house, the donkey and the cat remained.
The eldest brother got a house.
The second brother got a donkey.
The third man got a cat.
Man : "Even if you get a cat, it won't do you any good. Ahhh."
The man looked at the cat sadly .
Then,
Cat: "Master!"
Man : "Hey, the cat talked!"
Cat: "I am a useful cat! I will make my master happy!"
Man: “Is it true?”
Cat: "Yes! Then, please give me boots and a bag."
The man couldn't believe it, but he gave the cat boots and a bag.
The cat wore boots and walked on two legs.
Then he ran into the woods, caught a big rabbit, and put it in a bag.
Cat: "This is a present for the king!"
The cat went to the king who lived in the big castle and said,
Cat: "This is a present from Prince Karaba! Please take it."
There really is no such person as Prince Karaba.
This is the name of the person that the cat made for himself, and it refers to the man who is the cat's master.
King: "Oh, this is a big rabbit. Thank you."
The next day the cat caught another big goose and brought it to the king.
Cat: "King! This is a gift from Prince Karaba!"
King: "What a big goose! Tell Prince Karaba thank you."

One day, the king was taking a walk with his daughter in his carriage .
The cat found it and called for the man.

The man did not understand what the cat told him to do, took off his clothes, and went into the river.
Then came the king's carriage.
Cat: "King! We're in trouble! All of Prince Karaba's clothes were stolen while he was swimming in the river!"
King: “What!”
The kind king gave Prince Karaba some clean clothes.
King: "Thank you for the wonderful present the other day. You can use these clothes if you like."
The man looked very handsome in the beautiful clothes that the king had given him.
Even the king's daughter was enchanted by this...♡
Daughter: "Prince Karaba, would you like to take a walk with me?"
Man : "Yes, of course!"
The man went for a walk with the king and his beautiful daughter in his carriage.

● How to use "～soudau" (modality)
It is used when the speaker sees it and thinks so.
For example, ``This food looks delicious.'' means that the speaker looked at the food and thought it would be delicious.

In this way, there are four ways to use ``~souda'': mode, hearsay, prediction, and just before.
Please be careful as the meaning may change depending on how you use it.
