Read stories in Japanese. Introducing "Jack and the Beanstalk".
hello everyone.
Read stories in Japanese.
I'm sure many of you are spending your winter vacation at home, so I prepared a slightly longer story for you this time. Please read to the end.
"Jack and the Beanstalk"
Once upon a time there lived a boy named Jack and his mother.
Jack's father used to have many mysterious treasures, but they were stolen and eventually killed.
After his father died, Jack and his mother became very poor and had only one large cow at home.
Jack used to go to town every morning to sell the milk taken from this cow.
So the mother asked Jack to go to town to sell the cow.
When Jack was walking with a cow, a mysterious man walked from the other side.
The man said to Jack,
"Hey, why don't you exchange these five beans for that cow?"
“Five beans?
"This bean is not just any bean. It's a mysterious bean."
The man then showed Jack some colorful beans.
Somehow Jack felt that these beans were very good,
"Okay. Let's exchange it for a cow."
said.
My mother asked me when I got home.
"How much did the cow sell for?"
Jack told the story of a cow turned into five beans.
Then the mother got very angry.
"What an idiot you are! Who's going to be full with five peas like this! Enough, you're skipping dinner tonight!"
So I threw the beans out the window.
That night, Jack went to bed hungry.
And the next day, Jack woke up and was surprised.
The beans you threw away yesterday have sprouted vines and grown into beanstalks that reach up to the heavens.
"This tree is pretty big. I wonder how far it goes..."
Jack put his foot on the big beanstalk and climbed up little by little.
The beanstalk is very tall and Jack climbs up.
How long has it been? Finally, the town disappeared, and I came to the heavenly world above the clouds.
When Jack arrived in the heavenly world, he noticed that everything there was very big.
"This is the world where giants live."
Then Jack arrived at a giant giant's house.
knock Knock…
"Excuse me, I'm so hungry that I'm about to collapse. Would you mind giving me something to eat?"
Then a big woman came out of the house and said,
"Oh, that's fine. Go ahead and eat. But be careful. If my husband finds you, he'll eat you."
said.
And Jack ate a lot of bread and cheese in the kitchen.
But then, Gatan!
The big man is back.
"Wow? It smells like a delicious human smell."
"Oh, you must be crazy."
"Yes. I'm hungry. Breakfast."
Saying so, the big man brought a little chicken.
Jack hid himself in the pan and watched.
big man to chicken
"Lay a golden egg!"
When I shouted... Mysteriously, the chicken laid a pompom golden egg.
Jack had a feeling he had seen this chicken somewhere.
"Oh!! That's a strange chicken that my late father had! Was it this guy who stole a lot of treasures from my father!"
After eating breakfast, the big man fell asleep.
Jack jumped out of the pot, grabbed the chicken and ran.
When Jack returns home, he shows his mother a chicken that lays golden eggs and tells him about the land of giants.
"Yes. This is my father's... But Jack, don't go to such a dangerous place anymore."
Jack made a promise to his mother.
They became rich thanks to a chicken that lays golden eggs.
However, Jack thought that his father's treasure should still be in the land of giants, so he secretly climbed the beanstalk and went to the land of giants to retrieve it.
knock Knock…
“Excuse me.
“Oh, the other day.
Someone stole it and I'm in a bad mood. If you find it, it will be eaten immediately. Be careful. ”
The giant's wife let Jack into the house.
And the big man is back.
The big man sat down on the sofa and held a golden harp.
"Sing!"
When the big man commanded the harp, the harp began to play beautiful music.
Hearing that, the big man started taking a nap again.
Jack grabbed the harp and started running home.
However, when I ran away, the harp hit the shelf and made a popping sound.
"Who!"
The big man wakes up and follows him at great speed.
Jack hurries down the beanstalk with the harp in his hand.
The big man followed him and started down the beanstalk.
Jack jumps to the ground and lands, bringing an ax and thumping the beanstalk! I cut it off.
And the big man was slammed to the ground and died.
Since then, Jack and his mother have lived happily ever after thanks to a strange chicken and a harp.
How was it.
There are several stories in this story, including one in which Jack steals treasure from a giant's house. I don't think it's a good story to steal someone else's things to make yourself happy, so this time I decided to tell you that the treasure was originally your father's.
I hope you enjoyed it.
