"Three Year Netaro"
Once upon a time there was a young man in a poor village who was sleeping all the time.
The young man lay down and dozed off day after day, so the people of the village called him Netaro.
"Ah, Netaro must be in trouble, too."
“I used to be a hard worker, how did I end up like this?”
“Because there is no water in the rice field, no matter how hard you work, the rice will not grow.
The people of the village wentssip about it, and the children of the village sang songs around Netaro, who was always sleeping.
Then, one morning after three years, Netaro got up and gathered as many straws as he could from all over the village and started weaving straw sandals.
Netaro devoted himself to weaving straw sandals day after day, even while he slept.
"What do you mean, Netaro?"
"There are so many straw sandals. Who will wear them?"
The people of the village were amazed, but the children were amused and helped Netaro, and the completed mountain of straw sandals was tall enough for the children to climb and play.

Netaro stood up and went to borrow a boat.

After overcoming many big waves, the ship arrived at Sado Island.
On Sado Island, there was a mountain where gold was mined, and many people worked there, so Netaro shouted at them.
"Hey, I'll replace your old straw sandals with new straw sandals! You don't need any money, just!"
"Eh, just?"
"Well, thank you very much. Give it to me too!"
The gold diggers gathered with great joy, and in no time a mountain of old straw sandals was formed.
Netaro loaded all of them onto the ship and went back to the village.
"Netaro is back!"
"It seems that the souvenir is an old straw sandal."
The villagers were stunned, but Netaro looked unconcerned, filled a large basin with water, and threw an old straw sandal into it.
Then he jumped into the basin and stomped on the straw sandals.
"This is how you wash off the mud."
The children were amused and imitated Netaro.

The water in the basin turned black, but when the muddy water was pumped out,
"Oh, the bottom of the tub is shiny!"
"Something is sparkling!"
When the villagers heard this, they rushed over.
