What is the scariest thing in the world for you? There are many scary things such as ghosts, insects, thunder, and roller coasters. How about "Furuya no Mori"? In this story, the furuya forest is said to be the scariest. Please read the story and find out what Furuya no Mori is all about.
"Furuya no Mori"
One night when it looks like it will rain.
A thief broke into Grandpa and Grandma's house.
"Oh, nice horse. Let's steal it."
The thief hid in the roof of the stable, watching what was going on.
Then came the wolf.
"Hehe, nice horse. Let's eat it."
The wolf hid in the corner of the stable.
At that time, I heard the voices of my grandfather and grandmother talking.
"What is the scariest thing in the world?"
"Well, I'm sure you're a thief."
The thief laughed contentedly when he heard the old woman say this.
Then the old man said,
"No no, wolves are far scarier..."
Hearing this, the wolf smiled.
Then the old woman said,
"No, old man, there is nothing scarier than the old forest."
"That's true. The forest in the old town is scary. It looks like it's going to hit me tonight..."
A furuya no mori is a leak in an old house.
However, the wolf, who did not know the forest of the furuya, began to tremble.
"Yes, is there something scarier than me?"
The thief also began to tremble on the ceiling of the stable.
"Are you going to come over to my house tonight?"
I trembled so much that the thief slipped and thumped!
It fell just above the wolf.
"Wow, there was a furuya forest down there!"
The wolf was frightened,
"Wow, the forest has jumped at me!"
and ran out of the stable with the thief on his back.
"If you fall, you're done. The forest will eat you."
The thief clung to the wolf's back.
A clinging wolf
"Furuya's forest has bitten!"
I ran, ran, and kept running until dawn.
And at last he shook off the thief at the entrance to the forest.
Rumbling….
The thief rolled down into a big hole.
The wolf ran back to the forest and told the monkey about the Furuya no Mori.
"Yeah, he's that scary? I'll catch him."
The monkey came to the hole.
And it has a long tail.
Thinking that a thief is a rope,
"Thank you for your help!"
Then he grabbed the monkey's tail and tugged at it.
Monkey surprised.
"Furuya no Mori has bitten me!"
With that, my face turned bright red and I held on.
Gui Gui Gui! Gui Gui Gui! Butchin!
"Gyaa! The tail is torn off!"
That's why the monkey's face is still bright red. The tail seems so short.
How was it?
It's funny how the wolf and the thief are scared of each other because they think they're swarms. What you don't know scares you more than what you do know.
